Traditional, French Country Dream
Leigh Ann came across a home on a Southern Living showcase home tour that she fell absolutely in love with. Soon after, Leigh Ann and her mother had a trip booked to South Carolina to go tour the home in person. As she walked through the home during the tour, she knew it would be the sole inspiration of her new home and could not wait to recreate it with her own style. She brought all of her visions to the design meeting with Heather where they were able to collaborate and bring her ideas to life.
Leigh Ann and her business partner, Megan, own ‘Refresh your Nest’, an interior design company that specializes in interior decorating/redesign, real estate staging, and special event/seasonal decorating services. Leigh Ann brought her talent as an interior decorator to the table with this home and created something truly beautiful.
As if designing this very special, custom home wasn’t enough fun, the Echols family also chose to work with us to make the design come to life! Leigh Ann was very fond of grand millennial style, southern traditional style, and also loved the casual elegance of French country, we were able to combine these styles and the results leave a remarkable impression on anyone fortunate enough to see the photos – much less, view the home in-person.
The cozy hearth room featuring a natural stone fireplace is unquestionably one of the main focal points of the home. Our clients put their whole heart into this home. Some of AOS’ favorite features to highlight are the intricate cabinetry around the fireplace in the living area that was custom designed by Leigh Ann herself with Moore’s Custom Cabinetry, the eclectic touches of wallpaper throughout the house and the vintage-look leaded glass located in the master bathroom cabinets and the kitchen really help create a timeless look. The grand millennial details throughout this home will always be stunning and adaptable, regardless of current trends.
Once the Echols family had settled into their home, we asked them their favorite features of their new home. “In functionality, the home is very efficient: so far in this extreme heat we are having, our home has stayed very comfortable. In design and aesthetics, we loved the nail down wood floors and the vintage doors that we chose to incorporate as well as the trim, it really gave the home that southern charm we were going for and made it even more custom.”
“AOS was highly recommended by friends and I liked the process of starting from conception drawing plans with Heather and then moving onto the building phase. The AOS team made the process very seamless and was always open to hear my ideas and come up with creative solutions to achieve them!” -Blair & Leigh Ann Echols
